Job Description

We are looking for an Assistant Handbag Designer for a top fashion brand in NYC.

Responsibilities:

Track all packages to and from China
Unpack, catalog, and track samples
Create and maintain line sheets
Input sample requests
Sketch/CAD
Set design wall with CADs and update wall as changes are made
Create sticker labels, photo and log all original samples
Design prints
On-going trend research
File materials/swatch cards
Create mood boards/trend packets for meetings
Assist with presentations as needed
Keep sample closet organized

Required Qualifications:

Must have Bachelor or Associates degree in Fashion Design
VERY detail oriented/organized
Fluent in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)
Fluent in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint)
Good communication skills (oral and written)
Good follow up and follow through
Self-starter
Team oriented, able to juggle multiple tasks in fast paced environment
