Investment Funds Regulatory Associate

We are looking for a highly qualified Investment Funds Regulatory Associate with at least 3 years of asset management regulatory experience. This role is ideal for an associate with a strong understanding of the Investment Advisers Act of 1940 and the Investment Company Act of 1940 , with private equity and hedge fund formation experience being a plus.

Our Investment Funds Regulatory Practice provides comprehensive legal, regulatory, and compliance advice to investment advisers, family offices, and financial institutions worldwide. Our team assists in operating and managing private equity funds, private credit funds, hedge funds, and real estate funds, as well as in structuring complex transactions involving investment funds.

Key Responsibilities

• Advise clients on compliance with the Investment Advisers Act and Investment Company Act, including regulatory, status, and structuring matters.
• Support private equity and hedge fund formation, assisting clients with regulatory aspects of fund formation and operations.
• Counsel clients during SEC examinations, investigations, and enforcement proceedings, and work collaboratively with the white-collar litigation team on related issues.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of asset management regulatory experience.
• Strong working knowledge of the Investment Advisers Act of 1940 and Investment Company Act of 1940 .
• Experience in private equity and hedge fund formation is a plus.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
