Role Overview: Associate Director, SEO & Content Marketing

The Associate Director role is pivotal to client and team success, combining leadership, strategic oversight, and hands-on expertise in SEO and Content Marketing. You will be responsible for managing client performance, supporting your team of Strategists, and fostering strong, results-driven client relationships. Success in this role directly impacts company growth, client retention, and team satisfaction.

What You'll Do

Set Goals for Success:

Establish clear goals for all client engagements in your portfolio and ensure teams are pacing toward achieving key performance indicators like SQL generation.
Leverage tools such as Google Analytics, CRM data, and platforms like Salesforce, HubSpot, and Marketo to monitor and report on progress.

Drive Best Practices:

Ensure teams consistently implement best practices across all channels, focusing on:
Financial modeling and forecasting to assess ROI.
Revenue-driven content and SEO strategies.
Expanding opportunities beyond traditional search rankings (e.g., Share of SERP).
Creating unique, high-impact content that drives engagement and conversions.

Innovate and Experiment:

Stay ahead of trends by integrating new technologies like generative AI and programmatic SEO into strategies.
Experiment with emerging content formats, search environments, and distribution channels to maximize impact.

Break Down Barriers:

Collaborate with teams to navigate roadblocks and secure buy-in for key strategies from clients and stakeholders.
Develop actionable plans during 1:1s with team members to ensure smooth execution.

Be a Leader, Not Just a Manager:

Build structured workflows, maintain open communication, and foster proactive support to empower your team.
Set clear expectations and inspire excellence through your leadership style.

Exhibit Executive Presence:

Engage with marketing leaders and C-suite stakeholders as a trusted advisor.
Communicate complex strategies with clarity, translating them into actionable insights that drive measurable client success.

Your Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

Client Performance: Achieve 100% attainment of North Star Metrics (NSM).
Customer Satisfaction: Maintain an average CSAT score of 4.2+ on surveys.
Revenue Retention: Achieve positive Net Revenue Retention (NRR).

What You Bring

Proven success in developing and implementing SEO and content marketing strategies, including keyword research, forecasting, and content production.
Analytical skills to turn data insights into actionable strategies.
Exceptional communication skills, with experience managing client relationships at the executive level.
Proficiency with tools like Google Search Console, GA4, SEMrush, Ahrefs, and Screaming Frog.
Results-oriented mindset with a track record of creative problem-solving and innovation.
Agency experience and familiarity with B2B Tech or SaaS industries.
A portfolio showcasing organic strategies that drive customer acquisition.
Passion for exploring new tools, technologies, and methods to stay ahead in the industry.
