Job Description

Patrick BMW is currently seeking a full-time Automotive Technician for our Schaumburg location. Patrick offers the following benefits:

Responsibilities:

Receiving and carrying out repair orders as dispatched.
Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
Diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
Providing an estimate of time needed for additional repairs.
Executing repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.
Diagnose, repair, and maintain automotive systems.
Performing work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
Perform proper vehicle inspections.
Full automotive troubleshooting and testing

Requirements for eligibility:

Clean driving record
Must be willing to submit to a drug screen and background check.
19 years of age or older.
Great mechanical, electrical skills and computing skills.
Experience in an independent shop a plus.
Previous European automotive technician experience preferred.
ASE certifications preferred but not required.
BMW Certification Levels 1, 2, 3 or 4 a plus but not required.
BMW/MINI factory training and experience a plus but not required
