We're hiring a CAD/BIM Designer looking to break into structural steel detailing. You’ll work with builders and engineers who value precision, speed, and craftsmanship—and you’ll learn Tekla Structures on the job.
What You’ll Do:
Convert BIM and CAD models into buildable steel detailing using Tekla
Collaborate with engineering teams and shop personnel
Solve construction challenges before fabrication
Create shop drawings and support fabrication-ready deliverables
Train on Tekla Structures with support from senior team members
2–5 years of experience with CAD/BIM tools (Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, etc.)
Experience reading construction plans or creating construction documents
Strong visual-spatial skills and modeling confidence
Interest in transitioning into steel detailing and fabrication support
Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
Must be willing to relocate to Kingsport, TN within 8 weeks
