Are you ready to take the lead in technology and innovation? We are seeking a dynamic Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to join our IT Department and help shape the future of technology in our vibrant community!
Key Responsibilities:
As the CTO, you will play a pivotal role in directing and managing the Information Technology Division. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
Leading and administering IT support systems for infrastructure, security, application development, public safety, business operations, customer support, and geographic information systems (GIS).
Overseeing the development and implementation of IT policies, functions, and services while providing thought leadership to drive strategic planning and budget creation in collaboration with all departments.
Managing and supervising the IT Division staff and contracted services, including scheduling, assigning work, and supporting employee development.
Collaborating with management, customers, and IT staff to explore the feasibility and impact of new technology initiatives, making strategic recommendations for implementation.
Spearheading the development and execution of an organization-wide IT systems plan, including operational continuity and the establishment of technology standards.
Ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines on information privacy, transparency, and retention in partnership with the Town Manager's Office and legal counsel.
Overseeing the division's annual budget and participating in financial forecasting and expenditure monitoring.
Coordinating and reviewing work plans for IT supervisors, identifying opportunities for process improvement, and resolving challenges.
Leading cybersecurity initiatives across all town systems.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have:
A minimum of seven years of progressively responsible experience in information technology systems management, including at least three years in a supervisory role.
A bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology systems, or a related field.
PMP Certification is desirable, but not required.
A willingness to consider alternative combinations of education and experience that fulfill the minimum requirements.
