OPEN JOB: Coding Manager - Certified Coding Specialist - Health Information Management (HIM), (In patient only)
LOCATION: New York City, New York
HYBRID: 4 days in office and 1 day working remote
SALARY: $106,000 to $157,000

IDEAL CANDIDATE

• Certified Coding Specialist (CCS Knowledge of hospital information systems)
• High degree of analytical ability
• Knowledge of computer hardware and software applications, such as Windows, Microsoft office, etc
• Demonstrated knowledge of Health Information Management functions, policies and practices in an electronic environment.

 
Coding Manager - Health Information Management (HIM)

• Join a tight-knit HIM team and manage the activities and operations of assigned areas of responsibility. Manage assigned areas to promote effective and efficient operations.
• Establish policies and procedures and ensure practices are consistent with regulatory agencies.
• Review, recommend and implement changes to departmental program and projects.
• Participate on hospital teams and committees related to HIM and clinical information systems as required.

 
Preferred Criteria

• Bachelor’s degree
• Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) through the American Health Information Management Association or equivalent

 
Required Criteria

• High School Diploma or GED
• Certified Coding Specialist (CCS Knowledge of hospital information systems)
• High degree of analytical ability
• Knowledge of computer hardware and software applications, such as Windows, Microsoft office, etc
• Demonstrated knowledge of Health Information Management functions, policies and practices in an electronic environment for in patient coding only.
