Commercial Signs – Fabricators and Installers
Monarch DIRECT is a rapidly growing Commercial Sign Company (we also have a Full-Service Print Shop, Graphic Design Center, Wrap Factory and Promotional Products) based in Port Charlotte FL. Openings for full-time experienced Commercial Signs – Fabricator and Installer.
Duties and Responsibilities will include the following:
· Fabrication, cutting and welding of aluminum and steel frame sign structures, base plates, pylon signs, pole sections, sign cabinets, aluminum channel letterings and architectural sign structures.
· Keep projects organized and materials ordered to keep job flow in production.
· Keep shop organized to maintain a safe environment.
· Assist install team as needed for complex projects.
· Ability to work independently as well as follow directions as part of a team.
· Communicate with sales and design as needed.
· Able to work safely and proficiently from the ground, on ladders, and with various equipment, including fork lift and aerial lifts
· Knowledgeable with signpost and footing installation
· Assist with electrical work
· Assist with repair work to diverse types of commercial signs
· Preparation of sign faces – including scrapping and cleaning of existing signs for new vinyl installation
· Ability to work with, or quickly learn, about substrates and vinyl installation
· Assist with substrate prep and sign fabrication
· Assist with window and door lettering installation
· Assist with equipment and vehicle prep for the day
· Assist with completion photos and paperwork associated with the project
Preferred skills in:
· Experience in Welding: TIG welding steel and aluminum, Shielded Metal Arc (Stick), Cutting oxyacetylene Torch
· Accu-Bend Experience
· Mechanical Knowledge
· Reading Mechanical Drawings
· Hand Metal Bending
· Power Hand Tools
· Riveting
· Forklift Operator
· Basic Electrical
· Project Assembly
Special Requirements and Skills for Installers or Fabricators:
· NOT afraid of heights
· In good physical condition
· Ability to lift 50+ pounds
· Comfortable working in various conditions, including in/outside, and in various weather conditions
· Ability to take direction well
· Desire to learn and grow, not afraid to ask questions
· Detail oriented
· Takes pride in work and driven to completing projects on-time and per schedule
· Hard working – not afraid of getting dirty
· Ability to think ahead and react quickly
· 21 years or older
· Clean driving record
· Ability to pass back-ground and drug test
· Team player who cares about each other
Requirements to apply:
· 21 years old

· High School Diploma or equivalent
· 1-year experience Welding
· Previously worked successfully in a fast-paced environment
· Lift or move up to 60 lbs
· Climb ladders up to 20’
· Frequently required to stand for long periods, climb and balance, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl
