ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
· Pours and finishes concrete for the County Road and Bridge projects.
· Makes all measurements for construction projects, calculate cubic yards of concrete, and make estimates of other materials needed.
· Assists with the building of frames and other carpentry for construction projects requiring concrete.
· Assists with the construction of bridges, including wooden bridges.
· Furnishes own hand tools for concrete finishing.
o Good knowledge of the principles and techniques involved in the pouring and finishing of concrete.
o Good knowledge of the various tools and equipment used to pour and finish concrete.
o Good knowledge of basic carpentry techniques.
o Ability to make basic mathematical calculations.
o Ability to attend work regularly and reliably.
o Skill in the use of various handheld and power tools.
o Skill in the use of a calculator.
o Skill in pouring and finishing concrete.
