We're seeking a high-energy and results-oriented Director of Business Development to drive growth for our transportation services. This is a hybrid role, blending remote work with on-site presence in our Long Island office.

What you'll do:

Hunt for New Business: Identify and pursue new opportunities, build relationships with potential clients, and close deals.
Lead the Team: Manage and motivate a team of transportation professionals, overseeing their performance and development.
Optimize Operations: Ensure smooth operations, including scheduling, routing, and dispatching of vehicles.
Drive Innovation: Implement new technologies and strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
Ensure Compliance: Maintain compliance with all relevant regulations and safety standards.
Build Strong Relationships: Foster strong relationships with clients, carriers, and internal stakeholders.
What you'll need:

Proven experience in transportation sales and operations, with a focus on LTL and cartage.
Strong leadership and management skills
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
A deep understanding of the transportation industry and its challenges
