The Emergency Department Nurse Educator will report to the Director of Nursing Educator and collaborate closely with the Clinical Education leadership and Quality & Safety teams. The Emergency Department Nurse Educator will serve as an education resource and mentor for RNs, paramedics, techs, and preceptors within the department, with influence over onboarding, competencies, and professional development. The Emergency Department Nurse Educator will also partner with the ED Medical Director, unit leadership, and hospital educators to align initiatives and sustain high reliability across the continuum of care.
The Emergency Department Nurse Educator will design, implement, and evaluate education programs that advance clinical competencies, regulatory readiness, and best-practice standards 📚. Additionally, the role will coordinate robust orientation pathways, maintain education and competency tracking, and lead quality-improvement initiatives in partnership with clinical leadership and councils. Contribute to workforce development by participating in candidate evaluations, shaping individualized learning plans, and championing shared governance and continuing education.
