A family in Watchung is looking for a responsible and engaging Nanny to care for their 4-year-old daughter. The schedule will be Monday through Thursday from 7:00 am until 9:00 am, and 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm, with flexibility for occasional date nights.
Duties:
Assisting with before-school duties such as getting dressed, packing backpacks, and feeding breakfast. Picking the child up from school and accompanying her to after-school activities. Preparing light meals and snacks for the child. Engaging with the child through creative play and occasionally assisting with bath time in the evenings. Basic tidying up after the child, including cleaning up any messes from meals or play time.
Ideal nanny:
The ideal Nanny for this home is caring, responsible, and engaging. They should be present with the child and have a gentle and patient personality. Someone who is creative, playful, and willing to work with the family as a team.
About the child:
This 4-year-old is smart, energetic, and kind. She loves to play dress up, dance, and enjoys imaginative play. She is involved with dance classes, gymnastics, and sports after school. She is sensitive to loud noises and is involved in play therapy, which the nanny may need to transport her to.
About the parents:
This mom is outgoing, flexible and organized, while dad is introverted and laid back. They implement gentle parenting with their daughter but correct unwanted behavior through voice inflections when necessary. They have two dogs, a Shar Pei mix and a West Indian Village dog.
