The Work You Will Do:

The role of the Government Operations Consultant II in the Office of Small Business Innovation will be to perform contract and grant management duties for assigned contracts and programs.

Pay: $44,000-50,000 Annually

Your Specific Responsibilities:

• Coordinate activities relating to the administration of loan programs.
  • Activities include developing program guidelines, contracts, monitoring contract deadlines and receipt of deliverables, preparing quarterly reports, providing technical assistance to contract recipients, and processing payments.
• Track deliverables and budgets.
• Prepare contracts/agreements as to promote efficient and effective delivery of services to provide the best value to the State.
• Develop agreements/scope of work that are clear, specific and comprehensive.
• Monitor contracts/agreements to evaluate the provider’s performance.
• Process payments after review of invoices and supporting documentation for accuracy and completeness to ensure compliance with the terms and conditions of the agreement.
• Coordinate the development of business analyses, reports and presentations to facilitate making important business decisions.
• Recommend policies and procedures for program administration to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
• Maintain good working relationships and keep in close coordination with program managers from partnering agencies.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Proficient in Excel, word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
• Ability to develop working relationships with colleagues and partners
• Experience in the administration and monitoring of State contracts and agreements
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work with, and present to, diverse groups of individuals
• Posess excellent organizational skills
• Ability to attend to details and meet deadlines
• Working knowledge in the areas of decision-making, project management, and budgeting
• Ability to conduct research and provide reports and analyses as required
• Able to demostrate flexibility in response to change, and adapt to, and accommodate new methods and procedures.

Qualifications:

As a condition of pre-employment eligibility, a Level 2 security background screening is required, which consists of fingerprinting and a check of local, state, and national law enforcement records.

Minimum:

Must complete the Florida Certified Contract Manager Training within 12 months of appointment.
