Job Description

Summary - Human Resource Specialist :  We are seeking entry-level candidates for an opportunity to support the human resource team of a growing engineering firm based in Kansas City.  In this role you will primarily be supporting the Human Resource Manager and Human Resource Specialist in completing their tasks.  This role is ideal for detail oriented individuals with good oral and written communication skills.

Schedule - Human Resource Specialist : Monday - Friday generally from 8-5pm with flexible start and end times and ability to work from home on occasion 

Technical Competencies- Human Resource Specialist :

• Computer software proficient with ability to work in multiple different software systems daily
• Proficiency in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, etc.)
• Ability to type 35+ WPM 

Responsibility Summary - Human Resource Specialist :

• Plan and coordinate employee engagement events.
• Assist with onboarding new hires.
• Support a variety of scheduling tasks. 
• Monitor and respond to emails.
• Assist with coordinating career fairs and other talent acquisition events.
• Assist with recruiting efforts.

Qualification Summary - Human Resource Specialist : 

• HS Diploma, AS or BS degree preferred in Human Resources or a related field
• Ability to meet the technical competencies listed above 
• 1+ year of experience working in an administrative support capacity
