Job Description

Pay: $21 – $30 per hour (based on experience and knowledge)

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM, with occasional overtime as needed.

Location: Saginaw, Texas.

Reports To: Shop Supervisor/Service Manager.

Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Dump Body Installation Technician / Mechanic to assemble, install, and service dump bodies, hydraulic systems, and related truck equipment. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, hydraulic and electrical knowledge, and the ability to read technical drawings to ensure safe, high-quality installations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install dump bodies, hoists, subframes, and related equipment on trucks.
• Connect hydraulic lines, pumps, PTOs, and electrical wiring.
• Fit, align, and secure components using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, mechanical, or electrical issues.
• Perform preventive maintenance and servicing of equipment.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, diagrams, and manuals.
• Operate forklifts, hoists, and shop equipment safely.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (vocational/technical training preferred).
• 5+ years of truck body installation, mechanical, or related experience.
• Knowledge of mobile hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical systems.
• Basic understanding of 12-volt electrical systems.
• MIG welding and fabrication skills (cutting, grinding, drilling, measuring, plasma torch use).
• Must provide your own hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
  Ability to work independently with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred but not required).

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Comfortable standing, bending, and kneeling throughout the day.
• Ability to work in a shop environment with noise, dust, and machinery.
