Basic Responsibilities
As a Bilingual Immigration Law Paralegal, you’ll be at the heart of our client experience, ensuring that our clients feel supported and informed every step of the way. Your basic responsibilities will include:
· Managing a caseload, setting and achieving goals, ensuring cases are processed from start to finish.
· Preparing, organizing, and filing a variety of legal documents related to immigration cases.
· Assisting in the preparation of petitions, applications, and supporting documents for various immigration matters.
· Communicating with clients in both English and Spanish to ensure they understand the legal processes involved.
· Managing case files, tracking deadlines, and ensuring that everything is completed and submitted in a timely manner.
· Researching immigration laws and regulations to ensure accuracy and compliance with relevant laws.
· Draft legal memoranda and assist in case preparation and strategy.
· Acting as the primary point of contact for clients, answering questions, and providing updates as needed.
· Helping prepare clients for appointments and interviews by guiding them through the required documentation and process.
· Supporting the attorneys with administrative tasks, including scheduling meetings, coordinating with external agencies, and maintaining detailed records.
Non-Negotiables
· Fluent in English and Spanish (speak, read, write).
· 1-year minimum recent experience in immigration law firm.
· Ability to work on-site in our San Antonio office, Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM.
· Excellent organizational skills with an eye for detail—nothing slips through the cracks.
· Ability to navigate legal software and databases, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills—clear, professional, and compassionate.
· Ability to handle confidential client information with discretion and care.
· A passion for helping people and a genuine desire to make a difference in their lives.
· A positive, proactive attitude—there’s no such thing as “that’s not my job” in this office!
