**Why Work Here?**
This is a wonderful opportunity to work from home as a part-time Local Success Coach (LSC) and make a meaningful impact in the lives of families and international young adults. If you're passionate about cultural exchange, child care, child development, and helping families thrive, this role could be perfect for you. Enjoy a fun and inspiring work environment while building strong relationships with host families and Au Pairs in your area!

**Position Details:**

- **Employment Type:** Part-time, estimated at 1.4 hours per week
- **Location:** Remote (Candidates must reside within an hour's drive of San Diego, CA)
- **Contract Type:** Independent contractor / 1099 / self-employed
- **Potential for Growth:** This position starts part-time, with opportunities to grow to full-time as you support more families and Au Pairs.

As a Local Success Coach, you'll have the flexibility to create your own schedule while meeting the timely requirements of the Au Pair program. We're looking for someone self-motivated, sales-driven, and equipped with excellent interpersonal and counseling skills.

**Compensation:**
Your compensation is tiered based on the number of active families in your service area. Currently, the San Diego area has 6 active families, translating to approximately 1.4 hours per week and an estimated yearly compensation of up to $4,500. If you expand your cluster to 11 families, your hours may increase to 3.0 per week, with estimated yearly compensation of $9,300. You'll be paid monthly based on the services provided, with an equivalent hourly rate of approximately $60, subject to change based on family and Au Pair adjustments throughout the year.

**Key Responsibilities:**

In this role, you'll promote meaningful international family relationships and foster successful cultural child care experiences. Your primary duties will include:

- Assisting families during the matching process and providing essential information.
- Explaining regulations, policies, and program guidelines to Host Families and Au Pairs.
- Conducting in-home family interviews and orientation visits to ensure understanding of the program.
- Maintaining regular communication with families and Au Pairs through monthly phone calls and visits.
- Organizing cultural events in the local area for Au Pairs to participate in and enjoy.
- Collaborating with headquarters staff to provide support to families and Au Pairs.
- Building strong, personal relationships with families and Au Pairs, ensuring high-quality communication.
- Executing marketing initiatives in coordination with headquarters.
- Addressing any crises or conflicts professionally and effectively.
- Supporting families and Au Pairs with conflict resolution and issue management.

**Qualifications:**

**Required:**
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- High energy, enthusiasm, and motivation.
- Access to a computer/laptop and the internet, as well as reliable transportation.
- Interest in international exchange and education.

**Nice to Have:**
- Experience in counseling or conflict resolution.
- Interest in marketing and community engagement.
- Access to an iPad or tablet for in-home visits and orientations.

**Training and Onboarding:**
To ensure you're well-prepared, training is broken down into two phases:

1. **Initial Training (First Two Months):** This includes new hire orientation, where you'll learn about the Au Pair program and how to support families and Au Pairs. This paid training will consist of about 4 hours per week of reading, videos, and exercises, guided by a training mentor.

2. **Follow-Up Training (Approximately 6 Months In):** This 10-week program focuses on the matching process to help families find the right Au Pair, structured at about 3.5 hours per week.

**How to Apply:**
If you're excited about this opportunity, please send your cover letter and resume.

**About Us:**
Join a top Au Pair agency with over 30 years of experience in the child care industry. Our agency is one of the original organizations designated by the U.S. Department of State to facilitate the Au Pair Program, promoting cultural exchange and resulting in **meaningful, lasting relationships** between families and Au Pairs.

The Au Pair Program fosters an enriching experience where young adults from around the world live with a host family in the U.S. to provide childcare in exchange for room and board, as well as a small stipend.
