Job Description
PURPOSE: The Machine Operator - Washing is responsible for operating a roll industrial parts washer to ensure the cleanliness and quality of produced parts. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety and quality standards, and efficient operation of the washing equipment. The operator will inspect, load, and unload parts, monitor the cleaning process, and perform routine maintenance on the machine. Additional responsibilities include maintaining a clean and organized work environment and following company guidelines to meet production requirements.
RESPONSIBILITIES: - Loads feed mechanism by lifting Parts into position.
- Clean all designated parts and maintain all cleaning equipment assigned to the specialization area. Hand cleans some parts as required.
- Responsible for safe handling of chemicals as well as Storage
- Checks mixing ratios of chemicals
- Change tank water if needed
- Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
- Maintain continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
- Documents actions by completing production and quality logs.
- Accomplishes organizational goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests, exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
QUALIFICATIONS: - High School or GED Preferred
REQUIRED SKILLS: - Ability to read & understand blueprints and technical documents commensurate with machine operation.
- A genuine belief in continuous improvement and disciplined processes and a willingness to analyze,
- Confidence to approach supervisor with suggestions to changes to processes, if needed, to create a more efficient environment and culture.
- Organizational and time management skills.
- Self-starter with ability to multi-task and prioritize work day/projects independently
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to use various inspection gages.
- Basic computer knowledge.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: - Work is normally performed in an office, laboratory, manufacturing floor, or machine shop setting where physical work includes, but is not limited to, sitting, standing, reaching, kneeling, bending, and lifting up to 75 lbs.
- Must be able to understand and comply with all relevant safety practices.
FLSA STATUS/WORKING SCHEDULE: Location: Arden, NC
Shifts: 6 am - 2 pm, 2pm - 10 pm or 10 pm - 6 am
Assignment Start: ASAP
