Interns will be competitively selected to join our Marketing team and working alongside marketing coordinators, event planners, writers, and a graphic designer. We offer hands-on experience in a casual, yet professional work environment, making it an excellent place to learn and grow. Interns will be based at our corporate headquarters in Springfield, Illinois (temporary housing may be available). Applicants must be available for full-time work from mid-May to mid-August 2026. Core Responsibilities: As a Marketing Intern, you will contribute to a range of projects, including: + Assist in planning and executing small and large events. + Support digital marketing efforts, including social media and SEO. + Create marketing content, such as web pages, blog posts, flyers, and emails. + Contribute to various marketing projects and assignments. Performance Factors: Success in our intern positions requires translating textbook knowledge into practical, real-world applications. Key qualities include self-motivation, persistence, strong communication skills, and attention to detail. These attributes will help you make a significant impact on our team while gaining valuable experience for your future. Applicant Requirements: Candidates should be pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, or have equivalent on-the-job experience. + Completed at least two years of undergraduate coursework, including four courses in Business, Marketing, or Communications, or have at least one year of experience in a marketing-related role. + Must possess effective written and verbal communication skills. + Basic knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office applications. + Candidates should be self-motivated, able to work independently, and capable of collaborating effectively as part of a team. + Having IT-related coursework or experience will make you a stronger candidate. + Permanent authorization to work in the USA for any employer (no visa sponsorships available). Organization Structure and Interfaces: As a Marketing Intern, you'll join a 14-person marketing team consisting of marketing coordinators, event planners, writers, and a graphic designer, all under the guidance of the Director of Marketing Services. This is a temporary, full-time internship for summer 2026, with a pay rate of $18/hour. Internships have the potential to lead to permanent positions based on the future needs of the organization.
