What you would be doing: As the MDS Coordinator you would take ownership of the Center’s RAI process, the clinical authorizations process and, assignment of reimbursement category for residents covered under Managed Care or Insurance. In this role you would conduct resident interviews and assessments, including MDS and CAA, coordinate an accurate and complete assessment process and other necessary measures to assure plans of care produce clinical outcomes that reflect the needs of the residents. Including communicating with relevant participants, providing education and leadership to interdisciplinary team, conducting daily and weekly meetings, and managing timelines and other areas of compliance. What your work schedule would be: This position works during day shift hours with some flexibility on start and end time. The successful candidate: Is a Registered Nurse with a minimum of one year nursing experience in a skilled nursing/long-term care facility with knowledge of PDPM and Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) processes strongly preferred. As well as a preference for prior experience in Case Management and/or working with insurance companies. Must possess a high degree of personal accountability, responsibility and the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action. As well as the ability to plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures, etc., that are necessary for providing comprehensive activities to residents.
