Continuous Improvement Manager

Your role and responsibilities

As an intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience through various projects. Each day, you will acquire knowledge by performing tasks as directed. You will also showcase your expertise by supporting ABB’s operations and enhancing personal education/employment opportunities.

The work model for the role is: onsite

This role is contributing to the Electrification Business.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Conduct engineering time studies in manufacturing operations, collaborating with machine operators and operation leaders to establish and maintain operation standards.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives across all facility functions, including Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE), Quality, and Lean manufacturing practices.
• Engage with the corporate engineering team in Memphis, TN, contributing to Research & Development (R&D) activities and supporting innovation efforts.
• Support of all personal and professional development activities.

Qualifications For The Role

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in mechanical, manufacturing, industrial engineering, or related fields in the United States.
• Experience in AutoCAD software use.
• Intern must have reliable transportation to and from the worksite.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now and in the future.
• Utilize critical thinking skills to analyze complex situations and develop strategic solutions
• Effectively organize and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
• Demonstrate the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously without compromising quality
• Collaborate with team members to convey ideas, share information, and provide updates on project progress.
