Position Title : Network Analyst (US Citizens Only)
Location : Remote
We are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualifications:
Responsibilities: - Design, configure, monitor, and maintain local and wide area networks (LAN/WAN), ensuring the performance, reliability, and security of the network infrastructure.
- Perform network troubleshooting and resolve issues related to network connectivity, performance, and hardware.
- Monitor network performance, including bandwidth usage, traffic analysis, and network latency, and recommend improvements to optimize the network.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design network solutions that meet business requirements while ensuring scalability and security.
- Support network infrastructure for cloud-based, on-premise, and hybrid environments, ensuring seamless integration of systems and services.
- Assist with the configuration and deployment of network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.
- Provide network performance metrics and regular reports to management, highlighting key areas of concern and recommending improvements.
- Ensure network security by configuring firewalls, VPNs, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and ensuring adherence to security protocols and best practices.
- Manage IP address allocations, DNS configurations, and DHCP assignments across networked systems.
- Respond to network incidents and outages, ensuring swift resolution and implementing preventive measures to reduce recurrence.
- Conduct regular network assessments, including vulnerability scans and risk analysis, to identify potential threats and recommend remediation strategies.
- Work closely with security teams to ensure compliance with organizational security policies and regulatory requirements.
- Assist with the planning and execution of network upgrades and installations, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption to services.
- Document network configurations, topology, and any changes made to the network infrastructure.
- Provide training and technical support to internal teams regarding network setup, troubleshooting, and best practices.
- Stay current with the latest network technologies, trends, and best practices, recommending innovations and improvements to network infrastructure.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Network Analyst, Network Engineer, or in a similar network-focused role.
- Strong understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, etc.) and technologies such as routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless networks.
- Hands-on experience with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Wireshark, Nagios, etc.) and performance management software.
- Experience in cloud networking concepts and services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is a plus.
- Experience with network security concepts, including VPNs, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and network encryption techniques.
- Knowledge of network design and architecture, including designing and implementing VLANs, subnets, and routing protocols (e.g., OSPF, BGP, etc.).
- Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to analyze and resolve network issues quickly and effectively.
- Experience with IP address management and network services such as DNS, DHCP, and NAT.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical teams and effectively communicate technical information.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment, handling multiple tasks and priorities.
- Federal Experience is a plus.
- Required Security clearance.
