Job Description

We are looking for a qualified and experienced Virtual School Sign Language Interpreter (SLI) to provide essential support to students across Virginia in a remote setting. This flexible role allows you to make a meaningful impact on students' communication and learning while working from the comfort of your own space.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide virtual sign language interpretation for students during online classes and various school activities.
Ensure clear and accurate communication between students, educators, and other school staff to enhance learning.
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school teams to address students' unique educational needs.
Maintain detailed logs and documentation of interpretation sessions to ensure compliance and accountability.

Qualifications:

A minimum of a 3.5 EIPA score and a passing score on the EIPA written test, or a VQAS (Virginia Quality Assurance Screening) Level 3 certification.
Valid licensure and certification as a Sign Language Interpreter in Virginia.
Previous experience in a school setting as an interpreter is preferred.
Strong ability to work independently in a remote environment with excellent time management and communication skills.
