Oracle VBCS Developer

Pune, MH

Position Overview: As an Oracle Visual Builder Cloud Services (VBCS) Developer, you will leverage your development expertise to design, prototype, and develop innovative solutions using VBCS as part of the Vertiv Customer Portal team. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that meet business requirements, address technical gaps, and collaborate with cross-functional teams. Your responsibilities will encompass hands-on technical design, code reviews, prototyping, and maintaining documentation throughout the development process. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, the ability to work independently, and a proactive approach to driving projects to completion. Please note that Oracle VBCS experience is not required for this role.

Responsibilities

• PaaS Extension/Application Development:
  • Develop and extend applications using Oracle VBCS.
  • Ensure comprehensive knowledge of Oracle PaaS architecture.
• Web App Development:
  • Utilize previous experience in web app development; knowledge of JET framework is a plus.
• Technical Leadership:
  • Provide hands-on guidance to the tech team.
  • Perform technical design, prototyping, and development tasks.
  • Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality and alignment with customer expectations.
• Solution Alignment:
  • Ensure solutions meet overall business requirements.
  • Identify and address technical gaps.
• Prototyping and Validation:
  • Configure and validate working prototypes in a development sandbox.
• Team Coordination:
  • Coordinate with onshore and offshore teams to align task assignments.
  • Maintain records of work, risks, and issues, reporting to management as needed.
• Mentorship and Issue Resolution:
  • Mentor team members and drive issues to resolution.
  • Participate in validation, testing, and release activities.
• Business Analysis:
  • Exhibit strong business analysis skills to support development tasks.
• Independent Work:
  • Work independently, engaging supervisors as needed.
• Documentation:
  • Consistently document design and code throughout the development process.
  • Diagnose, resolve, and document system issues.
• Research and Support:
  • Conduct research for maintenance and development tasks.
  • Perform post-migration system review and ongoing support.
• Presentations and Demonstrations:
  • Prepare and deliver demonstrations/presentations to clients, peers, and partners.
• Adherence to Methodologies:
  • Follow standard methodologies for code/data source control, ticket tracking, etc.
• Stakeholder Communication:
  • Conduct meetings with business users and IT personnel.
  • Publish status and progress reports, clearly communicating project task status to stakeholders.
• Troubleshooting:
  • Troubleshoot issues in the VBCS project environment and related integrations.

Qualifications 

• Development Experience:
  • At least 3 years of overall development experience
  • Experience with VBCS would be a major bonus and experience with other low-code/no-code platforms is a plus.
  • Experience in web app development; knowledge of the JET framework is a bonus.
• PaaS Development:
  • Experience with a platform as a service is desired. Experience with Oracle Fusion is a major bonus. 
  • Willingness to learn Java Cloud Service (JCS).
• Integration Experience:
  • Experience with GIT or VBS integration with VBCS would be a bonus.
• Troubleshooting Skills:
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and problem-solving abilities.
• Adaptability:
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with diverse teams.
  • Eagerness to adapt to new projects quickly with a proactive, can-do attitude.
• Results-Oriented:
  • Aggressive approach to getting things done accurately.
  • Ability to adapt and evolve within the organization.
