New York Dental Affiliates (NYDA) is adding an Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon to the group at NYC Health + Hospitals/Lincoln . The Hospital is part of NYC Health + Hospitals. Lincoln is a designated Level I Trauma and Stroke Center and has Centers of Excellence in all medical specialties including its award- winning Cancer and Breast Centers. The hospital maintains a strong academic affiliation with Weill Medical College of Cornell University to maintain its high healthcare delivery standards.

The Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon will diagnose patients and treat various conditions affecting the oral and maxillofacial regions. Responsibilities include direct supervision of OMFS resident staff. The candidate will be part of a growing OMFS Department that includes a strong infrastructure of support with the present attending staff in OMFS. Assumption of role will include Program Director in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery .

Opportunity Details:

• Primary responsibilities include direct supervision of OMFS resident team as Program Director in OMFS.
• Participation in daily rounds of in-patients.
• Scholarly activity with resident education program and mentorship of research initiatives.
• Educational conferences and presentations to faculty and residents across all disciplines.
• Growth of Craniofacial Division to include treatment for Obstructive Sleep Apnea and Cleft Palate Repair.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD).
• Board Eligible by The American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. (Board Certification Preferred)
• Appropriate New York State licensure.

Wages and Benefits include:

Annual Base Salary: $334,000 based on 40-hour work week. Additional compensation available for extra call or sessional/per diem hours.

The annual total value of the compensation package is estimated at $432,900** , which includes the baseline salary, 401(k) contribution, sessional/per diem hours, and other factors as set forth below:

• Estimated annual compensation for 17 weeks additional sessional/per diem/call hours worked per week is $25,500. This does not include weekend call.
• Projected bonus of up to $40,000 (based on previous year’s average), contingent upon meeting quality and productivity targets.
• 401(k) Company Contribution (subject to IRS contribution limits):
  • Employees are immediately vested in a 3% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
  • After one year of service, employees receive an additional 7% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
• Annual Continuing Medical Education (CME) Reimbursement.
• Generous Annual Paid Time Off (PTO): Vacation, Sick, Holiday, and CME days.
• Medical, Prescription, and Dental Coverage: Top-tier plans with employee contributions significantly below market rates.
• Life Insurance and Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D) Coverage: Equal to 2x your salary (up to a maximum of $300,000) provided at no cost to you.
  • Additional employee-paid Voluntary Life and AD&D coverage is available for you and your family.
• Loan Forgiveness: Position may be eligible for loan forgiveness through certain state or federal programs.
• Medical Malpractice Coverage (equivalent to occurrence-based): Provided at no cost to the employee.

• Pre-tax employee-paid contributions for commuting expenses.
