Job Title: PACU Registered Nurse (RN) – Pre-Op / Secondary Recovery
Location: Falmouth, MA
Contract Type: Full-Time | 40 hours/week
Shift: 5x8-Hour Shifts | Rotating Days | On-Call Coverage Required
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced PACU Registered Nurse (RN) to join a dynamic perioperative team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of recent PACU experience and be comfortable working in a high-acuity environment that supports approximately 15 surgical cases per day. Pre-Op and Secondary Recovery experience is highly desirable.
Responsibilities:
Provide high-quality nursing care to post-anesthesia patients during recovery phases.
Monitor patients for changes in condition and intervene appropriately.
Prepare patients for surgery in the Pre-Op area, ensuring readiness and accurate documentation.
Collaborate with surgical and anesthesia teams to deliver safe, effective care.
Rotate through various shift start times to ensure unit coverage.
Participate in scheduled on-call rotation to cover overnight and weekend shifts.
Schedule Details:
40 hours per week (80 hours per pay period)
5 shifts per week, 8 hours each
Occasional weekends and holidays
Qualifications:
Required:
Active RN license in applicable state
BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association)
Minimum of 2 years of PACU nursing experience
Preferred:
Experience in Pre-Op and Secondary Recovery
Previous travel or contract nursing experience
