Job Description

Charlotte’s Best Nanny Agency is assisting a family in the Royden Neighborhood of South Charlotte in finding a Part-Time Nanny for their 7-year-old twin boys. The nanny would typically be needed Monday-Friday, 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm (20 hours). Additional hours will be offered during school breaks, holidays, and summer months.

The best nanny for this family would be patient, kind, and empathetic, who would create a warm and fun environment. This role involves supporting two school-aged children with after-school care, including school pickup, homework help, and a balance of structured and fun activities.

Each day will start with picking the children up from school and beginning the afternoon routine by preparing an after-school snack, allowing about 30 minutes of playtime before focusing on homework. The ideal candidate will enjoy spending time outdoors riding bikes, playing basketball, drawing, building with Magna-Tiles, and encouraging creative play. Once a week, the nanny will take one of the boys to his occupational therapy appointment. On non-school days, the nanny should plan educational activities, outdoor adventures, and local outings to keep the children active and engaged. Both parents work from home at times in designated offices. The family is seeking a nurturing and dependable nanny who will become a trusted and consistent part of their children’s daily lives.

Nanny Responsibilities Include:

• Meeting daily scheduling needs

• Engaging with the children on an age-appropriate level

• Playing with the children both inside and outside the home

• Picking the children up from School

• Assisting with homework

Household Duties Include (Children are first priority):

• Children’s laundry and changing children’s sheets weekly

• Children’s meal prep after school snack

• Unloading/loading the dishwasher

• Sanitizing toys and frequently used surfaces by the child

• Picking up after the nanny and the children throughout the day

• Rotating toys and keeping children’s areas neat and tidy

Pets: the family has two wheaten terriers (hypoallergenic), and the nanny will be asked to let them out into the fenced-in yard.

Qualifications:

• Have at least 3 years of professional nanny experience

• Have a college degree or equivalent experience

• Have a professional resume

• Fill out a complete online application

• Pass a pre-screening interview with Charlotte’s Best Nanny Agency

• Pass a national background check, including a driving record check

• Have a valid driver’s license

• Have safe and reliable transportation

• Have a minimum of three professional references

• Be non-smoking/vaping

• CPR and First Aid Certified

• Nanny should be fluent in English; any additional languages are a plus

Start Date, Salary, and Benefits:

• This position starts on November 17th

• Legal pay is offered at $27-$30 an hour, depending on experience
