**Job Overview** **Fairview** is seeking a General Surgery Physician Assistant to join the General Surgery team in the East region. In this role, you will work independently in a supportive team setting at both M Health Fairview St. John's in Maplewood and M Health Fairview Woodwinds in Woodbury, MN, and associated locations. You will be working closely with a well-established community General Surgery group and an experienced group of Advanced Practice Providers (APP), caring for patients with a diverse range of general, breast, surgical oncology, reflux, abdominal wall reconstruction, colon surgery and bariatric disorders. **Practice Details:** + Surgical patient care for a wide variety of conditions such as breast, oncologic, colon, foregut, complex hernia, endocrine, and bariatric in addition to general surgery + Outpatient care for post-operative patients, and non-operative patient procedural needs + Inpatient care including: Admissions and consults, daily rounding, operative assist, and discharge planning and education + Leadership within the multi-professional team caring for your patients and within the provider group + 1.0 FTE + Monday - Friday with rotating weekends; hours dependent on patient care needs + Flexible schedule **Income Details:** + Market competitive salary with additional earning potential with years of experience + Comprehensive benefits package: generous time off, annual CME allowance, malpractice insurance with tail coverage, retirement contributions, relocation & more **Qualifications:** + Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant training program + BC/BE through the NCCPA + Licensed or ability to obtain licensure through Minnesota Board of Medical Practice + Ability to obtain and /or maintain DEA certification for the State of Minnesota + Meet threshold criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and Privileges + Ability to obtain ATLS within 6 months of hire + 3 years experience in a Surgical practice as a PA is preferred **Benefit Overview** Fairview offers a generous benefit package including but not limited to medical, dental, vision plans, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability insurance, PTO and Sick and Safe Time, tuition reimbursement, retirement, early access to earned wages, and more!
