Syms Strategic Group (SSG)  is seeking a talented Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst/Performance Engineer

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Conduct automated and manual tests to ensure software performs adequately and meets the user requirements.
• Understand the overall organizational landscape and technology and will plan, construct, and execute product, system, unit, load, volume, penetration, and network tests.
• Design, develop, and create test plans and support test cases for computer systems and business applications based on business and functional requirements
• Design test approaches and manage the end-to-end quality life cycle of assigned projects.
• Design and develop automated scripts using LoadRunner to evaluate the performance of the application.
• Execute various types of performance tests such as load, stress, volume, and endurance tests.
• Validate fail-over/recovery scenarios and measure any impact to response times and interruptions during execution of these scenarios.

 

Required Skills and Experience

• Experience with LoadRunner scripting with protocols like Hypertext Transfer Protocol ( Hypertext Markup Language (HTML), Webservices, and True Client.
• Exposure to and experience with other popular performance tools such as Visual Studios, Webload, etc.
• A solid understanding of C language including data structures, collections framework, and multithreading.

Professional Certifications

International Software Testing Qualifications Board (ISTQB) or Certified Software Testing Engineer (CSTE) certification
Advanced certification in LoadRunner from HP/Microfocus

Years of Professional Experience

5+ years of professional experience
Experience with C, C#, Java, LoadRunner HTML, Webservices, True Client, Visual Studios, Webload, App Dynamics, Splunk, SOAP UI/Rest Client, Microsoft Test Manager/Microsoft Coded UI or other Testing Suites

Bachelor’s degree or higher
