Paramount Animation is the animated film division of Paramount Pictures. Building on Paramount's 100-year history of iconic filmmaking, Paramount Animation brings visionary artists and storytellers together to form a world-class animation studio. **Responsibilities** + Must be able to create fast rigs, minimum @ 24FPS real time playback in Maya with five keyed characters for both body and face + Develop a rigging system to rig bipedal character + Develop a system for transferring rigs between variants of the same character + Must be able to create character rigs compatible with current existing rigs + Design, test, and maintain character set-ups + Work with R&D to craft debug and evaluate new tools + Collaborate with previs animators to design motion controls + Develop and maintain character motion and deformation systems + Develop new techniques and processes to solve character production challenges + Write utility scripts and programs to streamline the setup process + Work with production management to prioritize tasks + Keep supervisors informed of progress, changes, roadblocks, and other critical issues **Basic Qualifications** + A minimum of 3+ years' experience as a rigger + Advanced knowledge ofMaya required + Motion Capture Experience is preferred + Excellent problem-solving skills Hiring Salary Range: Minimum: $2700/45hr week ($56.85/hour) Maximum: $3100/45hr week ($65.27/hour) *Weekly rates are guaranteed and include one hour of OT at time and a half into each day.The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies.
