Job Description

Sales Engineering Leader - What You’ll Do:

The Sales Engineering Leader reports to the Chief Sales Officer and plays a critical role within our go-to-market organization, leading a team of highly skilled Sales Engineers that support all revenue functions. You will provide strategic direction, technical expertise, and operational guidance to support the sales organization in driving revenue growth. You’ll own the client’s technical journey through technical acceptance—building technical champions, qualifying solution fit and business value, and addressing technical objections. 

This role requires a balance of leadership, technical acumen, and client-facing engagement to effectively position solutions, articulate value propositions, and ensure the team meets or exceeds performance targets. You will lead and develop a team that is not solely focused on the OfficeSpace’s product functionality, but the broader offering including consultative selling, implementation, and company capabilities to address client’s needs. 

Responsibilities include:

  • Team Leadership: Grow, lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of sales engineers. Build a team of OfficeSpace experts who thoroughly understand the product, integration, and implementation capabilities and can articulate its value to users of all types. Ensure team mentorship and ongoing career development. 

  • Client Engagement: Act as a trusted technical advisor, leading product demonstrations and technical discussions. Build technical champions and deliver custom solutions based on client needs. 

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with sales, product, engineering, professional services, and marketing teams to ensure alignment with client needs and market demands. 

  • Solution Development: Lead the design and delivery of tailored solutions, highlighting the value of the company's products and services. Maintains effective records of such solutions for repeatability and scale in support of client needs. 

  • Process Improvement: Continuously identify and implement best practices for pre-sales processes, consultative selling, and efficiency improvements. 

  • Performance Management: Set goals, track KPIs, and provide feedback and coaching to ensure team success. 

  • Training and Development: Oversee ongoing training for the team on new products, industry trends, and client engagement techniques, ensuring they remain at the forefront of technical expertise. 

The Skills, Experience, and Mindset Required:

  • Experience: 5+ years in sales engineering with at least 2 years in a leadership role. Experience building and managing high-performing teams. 

  • Technical Acumen: Strong understanding of SaaS products and the technical needs of clients. Experience with APIs, file transfer protocols, and security practices. 

  • Client Focused: Ability to engage directly with clients, understand their challenges, and create tailored solutions. 

  • Leadership Skills: Proven track record of leading, mentoring, and coaching teams to success. Demonstrated ability to develop people and processes. 

  • Collaboration Skills : Experience working cross-functionally with sales, product, and engineering teams to drive results. 

  • Communication : Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of explaining complex technical concepts in a simple, clear manner.

For US based candidates: 

The OTE range for this role is $150,000 - $170,000 USD. The salary for this position is determined based on a variety of job-related factors that may include location, relevant experience, education, or particular skills and expertise.
