Job Description:
The Department of Radiology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham ( UAB ) seeks a faculty candidate for its musculoskeletal ( MSK ) imaging section. The Department of Radiology consists of 109 faculty, including 19 physicists and PhD researchers. The MSK section consists of eight faculty members who are responsible for a wide variety of diagnostic tests and procedures, with access to state-of-the-art equipment in CT, ultrasound, MRI , and fluoroscopy in inpatient and outpatient facilities. Candidates should have an interest in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows. Willingness to perform image-guided procedures is required.
The ideal candidate will have keen clinical skills, and an active interest in teaching, service, and research. Qualified applicants should be ABR -certified or eligible, have completed fellowship training in musculoskeletal imaging or be proficient in musculoskeletal imaging and diagnostic radiology, and must be eligible to practice medicine in Alabama.
