What You'll Do:

Coordinate and manage the scheduling, dispatch, and tracking of drayage shipments.
Monitor and analyze dispatch operations to optimize route and resource allocation.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with drivers, carriers, and port officials.
Implement strategies to minimize costs and improve efficiency.
Ensure compliance with all transportation laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
Resolve shipment-related issues (delays, damages, discrepancies) quickly and effectively.
Provide leadership, training, and support to other dispatch team members.
Stay informed of industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
Manage accounts and serve as the lead shipment point of contact.
Build and maintain strong relationships with client contacts.
Negotiate to secure the best costs and value to maximize profit.
Collaborate with the sales team to identify and grow opportunities.
Work together with sales to ensure client satisfaction.
Assist with special projects as needed.
What You'll Bring:

Experience with import/export drayage.
Experience working at a steamship line, drayage carrier, or freight forwarder.
Ability to work effectively from home.
