Overview:
As a Senior E-Commerce Category Manager, you will be instrumental in shaping the strategic direction and growth of luxury home and bathroom product lines . This leadership role requires a comprehensive understanding of sourcing, e-commerce strategies, particularly within direct-to-consumer platforms such as Amazon , as well as expertise in marketing and merchandising. You will leverage your knowledge of durable goods to drive product selection, optimize pricing and promotions, and ultimately contribute to profitability and brand growth.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, supply chain, and product development, you will ensure that category strategies align with overall business objectives. Your role will directly influence the performance and market competitiveness of key product categories.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the creation and execution of category strategies, ensuring alignment with company goals. Focus on product assortment, pricing strategies, and promotional activities that drive revenue and profitability.
Use your sourcing expertise to cultivate strong relationships with suppliers and manufacturers. Negotiate terms, pricing, and contracts to secure high-quality products while optimizing margins.
Spearhead the e-commerce direct-to-consumer strategy, with a specific focus on Amazon. Oversee the development and implementation of strategies to enhance online presence, optimize product listings, and drive conversion rates.
Conduct in-depth market research to identify trends, consumer needs, and competitor activity. Use data-driven insights to guide decisions on product launches, discontinuations, and enhancements.
Oversee the product lifecycle from inception to end-of-life, ensuring that the portfolio remains competitive, innovative, and aligned with market demand. Work closely with product development to introduce new products and improvements.
Partner with sales and marketing teams to develop go-to-market strategies, promotional campaigns, and merchandising plans. Ensure these initiatives align with business goals and enhance the brand's presence in the marketplace.
Monitor and analyze key category performance metrics including sales, margins, and inventory levels. Provide actionable insights and recommendations to optimize category outcomes.
Work closely with supply chain teams to maintain optimal inventory levels, ensuring products are available to meet consumer demand while avoiding excess stock.
Maintain a strong understanding of customer preferences and ensure that product offerings are tailored to meet customer needs while aligning with the brand’s positioning.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).
Minimum of 5 years of experience in category management, product management, or a similar role within the home improvement or luxury goods industry.
