Job Description

Primoris Services Corporation is seeking a Service Writer (Fleet Coordination) to join our Equipment Department. A Service Writer supports the service manager and assists in the daily operation of the service department. This position will be responsible for scheduling equipment repair, tracking maintenance work orders for all completed repairs, as well as assigned invoicing and related data entry.

Work order management:

• Initiates repair orders, enters tech notes concerning parts on orders, reviews for accuracy, and obtains approval for repairs for all company-owned assets above set thresholds before finalizing.
• Scheduling appointments for vendor repairs.
• Keeps Vehicle and Equipment database current.
• Track daily Vehicle kilometers /hours and Heavy Equipment hours.
• Update Repair and Maintenance records with current service and PM status.
• Work with R&M personnel for servicing requirements.
• Monitor the progress of actual planned maintenance and repairs for light vehicles.
• Communicate with vendors / jobsites of planned maintenance.
• Assist in scheduling work, answering questions, and advising on repairs within established guidelines. Reviews technician time postings for accuracy.
• Knowledge and use of industry terminology, for accurate service writing /estimating and parts requesting .
• Assists the service manager in assuring that the shop is following governmental regulations, safety guidelines, company policies. And ensuring all manuals and other resources are up to date.

Basic Qualifications:

• A minimum of 3 years of related experience, preferably in the construction industry.
• Experience in purchasing, and sourcing parts, and materials is helpful.
• Knowledge of multiple Industries including automotive and equipment.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Computer literate with Microsoft Projects, capabilities desirable.
