Are you an experienced and compassionate Sign Language Interpreter with a passion for supporting students' educational journeys? We are seeking a skilled Virtual School Sign Language Interpreter (SLI) to assist students across Virginia. This remote role offers flexibility, allowing you to work from home while making a meaningful impact in the lives of students.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide virtual sign language interpretation for students in Virginia school districts during classroom lessons and school-related activities.
Facilitate clear and effective communication between students, teachers, and other school staff members.
Collaborate with school personnel and families to ensure students' communication needs are fully supported.
Maintain accurate logs of interpretation sessions and related documentation to ensure compliance and quality service.

Qualifications:

Minimum of a 3.5 EIPA score or a passing score on the EIPA written test OR a VQAS (Virginia Quality Assurance Screening) Level 3.
Valid certification and licensure as a Sign Language Interpreter in Virginia.
Experience interpreting in educational settings is preferred.
Strong ability to work independently in a remote, virtual environment.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students and staff.
