Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA)
Location: In-Person Only
Start Date: August 25, 2025
Contract Duration: 40 Weeks
Work Hours: 37.5 Hours/Week
Position Summary
The Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) supports licensed Speech Language Pathologists in delivering high-quality speech and language services. This role involves clinical, educational, documentation, and treatment-related activities, all performed under the supervision and direction of a licensed Speech Language Pathologist and/or physician.
Key Responsibilities
+ Assist in implementing speech and language therapy plans as directed by the supervising SLP
+ Conduct therapy sessions with individuals or groups
+ Document patient progress and maintain accurate records
+ Support educational and clinical activities within the scope of practice
+ Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
Minimum Requirements
+ Associate's degree from an SLPA program or Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
+ Completion of at least 100 hours of supervised fieldwork or equivalent clinical experience
+ Current SLPA certification or licensure in the state of practice
+ Adherence to professional standards of practice
+ One (1) year of prior SLPA experience preferred
