Job Title: Summer Camp Aide
Location: St. Stephen Protomartyr Catholic Church, St. Louis, MO
Reports To: Camp Director / Parish Administrator
Employment Type: Seasonal / Part-Time
St. Stephen Protomartyr Parish is seeking enthusiastic, responsible, and faith-filled individuals to serve as Summer Camp Aides. Aides assist in providing a safe, fun, and spiritually enriching environment for children attending the parish summer camp. This role supports lead counselors and staff in supervising campers, facilitating activities, and ensuring the daily schedule runs smoothly in accordance with the values and teachings of the Catholic Church.
Assist camp counselors in supervising campers during activities, meals, field trips, and transition times.
Help lead recreational games, arts and crafts, faith-based activities, and educational projects.
Maintain a safe and welcoming environment for children of all ages and abilities.
Set up, clean up, and organize supplies and activity areas throughout the day.
Model respectful, Christian behavior in all interactions with children and staff.
Support staff in enforcing camp rules and routines.
Respond appropriately to incidents and report concerns to the Camp Director.
Attend staff training and meetings as required.
Minimum age: 16 years old.
Must be a responsible, dependable, and positive role model for children.
Enjoy working with children and helping create a fun and faith-filled environment.
Ability to follow directions and work collaboratively with other team members.
Must complete and remain compliant with the Archdiocese of St. Louis Safe Environment Program (including training and background check, if over age 18).
First Aid/CPR certification is a plus (training may be provided).
