Convergint Federal (CF) is seeking a Security Lenel S2 System Administrator I 3+ years of experience with supervision, integrated security system installation and service.

CF is an security information technology company that is focused on the physical security with locations in Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina and Huntsville. CF is a leader in the design, integration, installation, maintenance and operation of technically complex integrated physical security management systems. We have the ability to support the entire life cycle of these programs and projects—from security analyses, engineering and design, through installation, operation and maintenance. 

CFS is seeking an System Administrator. The position will be located downtown DC.

Job Description



The role of a successful Systems Administrator I with Lenel S2 experience is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and support of security systems including access control, video surveillance, and intrusion detection systems. This role requires a proactive individual with strong technical skills, exceptional customer service abilities, and the capacity to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and maintain various security systems including but not limited to access control, video surveillance, and intrusion detection systems.
  • Perform system upgrades and modifications to meet client requirements and adhere to industry standards.
  • Work collaboratively with project teams to ensure the successful implementation and integration of security solutions.
  • Promptly identify and resolve technical issues to maintain system functionality.
  • Conduct diagnostic tests and use troubleshooting tools to analyze system performance and determine solutions.
  • Provide both remote and on-site support to address client concerns efficiently.
  • Engage directly with clients to understand their needs and respond to inquiries.
  • Offer training and guidance to clients on system operation and maintenance.
  • Foster positive client relationships through effective communication and problem resolution.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of all service activities, including service reports, equipment inventory, and configuration changes.
  • Collaborate with the technical support team to contribute to knowledge bases and share best practices.
  • Ensure that all installations and services meet company and industry standards.
  • Conduct regular quality checks and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
  • Other duties assigned within reason of current role previously specified.

Qualifications

  • Hight School Diploma
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in a related role; security systems
  • Lenel S2 experience required
  • Exceptional customer service skills, both over the phone and in person, with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and PDF.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills in networking, network cameras, circuitry, relays, reading wiring diagrams, and using digital multimeter testers.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and directions in a dynamic work environment.
  • Demonstrates initiative and engages in proactive behavior.
  • Ability to foster a positive working environment for both customers and team members.
  • Basic understanding of networks and network troubleshooting skills.
  • Knowledge in the use of diagnostic and troubleshooting tools.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities and a detail-oriented approach.

Additional Information



Salary Range: $95k-$125k
