Job Description
The purchase of residential or commercial real estate is the largest financial transaction most people will encounter in their lifetime. Responsibilities:
• Preparation of commitments, title policies, and settlement documents
• Preparation of Settlement statements, CD,s and other financial documents
• Ordering title searches, surveys, payoffs, lien releases, and other items
• required by the contract
• Reviewing title reports and clearing titles
• Coordination of settlements with lenders and real estate agents
Qualifications:
• Virginia title license required, DC and/or MD title license a plus
• Minimum of 2 years of Title Processing experience required • Strong communication and people skills are required , as well as an understanding that the customer is always right
• Ability to problem-solve and work with lenders and realtors to accomplish time-sensitive goals
• Candidate should be detail-oriented, be able to multi-task, and work well with deadlines
• Familiarity with foreclosure and short sales a plus
• Good computer and data entry skills required
