Duties and Responsibilities: The Titles Specialist will manage titles for our auto retail & lease portfolios for various clients, broken up into sub-specialties. defi’s Titles department currently has an opportunity available on their Call Team.

  • Call Team - This team handles inbound phone calls from customers, clients, and dealers for all matters related to title processing. Agents will deliver passion for customer experience while responding to questions and providing knowledge to callers on how to request action related to vehicle titles. The call team also performs title perfection follow-up while managing multiple clients – callings DMV, dealerships, and customers to ensure a perfected title and winning as a team.
  • Correction Team – This team is responsible for logging any incoming titles into the applicable services and determining the status of said titles. Processing any title modifications required on any inaccurate and unacceptable title received—processing state-to-state title transfer demands from the customer or DMV and executing duplicate title processes, name changes, and copy requests while maintaining day-to-day client follow-up and addressing each account queued for review and processing.
  • Payoff Team- This team is responsible for processing the release of liens on titles that have been paid in full or deemed a total loss by signing off as lien holders on the appropriate title—generating and sending a lien release to release the collateral when we do not have the physical titles or releasing the lien via the electronic vendor portal from the state to the appropriate party who paid off the loan.
  • Mail Team– This team is responsible for the everyday title pulls, title filing, and title research that encompasses all aspects of the Titles Department. Working as a team to obtain, review, and distribute mail that flows into the department and needs to be distributed. This team will work together to improve daily as a group that will compare titles pulled to the relevant records before being mailed out.
  • Titles Remarketing Team– This team is responsible for the titles portion of the remarketing process of terminated accounts (e.g., lease returns and repossessions). Logging received titles for sale at auction when appropriate; sending titles to service to obtain repossession titles in the client's name—follow-up on pending actions or requirements from Servicers, Auctions, Clients, Tag Agencies, or internally.
  • Notary Public – Team members must obtain their Notary Public within 90 days (about three months) of employment. defi SOLUTIONS will pay for the test, accessories, and renewals.

Required Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Minimum one-year experience in high-volume, data entry, and administrative forced position
  • Intermediate proficiency with Windows-based software programs (i.e., MS Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to demonstrate, comprehend and apply our workplace values.
