Job Description

We’re looking for a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist (PT) to join a highly collaborative rehab team at a respected Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Newport, Oregon . This contract role offers the perfect blend of professional fulfillment and scenic relaxation, with a Monday–Friday schedule that allows your weekends to truly be yours.

Located just minutes from the beach, this facility is known for its strong interdisciplinary support , progressive clinical programs , and commitment to restoring function and quality of life for its residents.

  • $2000-$2250 net (after tax take home) per week.
  • Local Travel Rates: $50-$55 per hour with 40 hours guaranteed, first day health benefits.

  • $1200 Con Ed Package
  • 40 hours per week guaranteed

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct physical therapy evaluations and provide individualized treatment for both short-term and long-term care residents.
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team including OT, SLP, nursing, and social services.
  • Document daily notes, progress reports, and discharge plans using an electronic health record (EHR) system.
  • Help residents achieve meaningful functional outcomes related to mobility, strength, balance, and independence.
  • Actively participate in care planning meetings and contribute to ongoing quality improvement efforts.

Qualifications:

  • Active Oregon Physical Therapist (PT) license or eligibility to obtain
  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program
  • Prior experience in skilled nursing, geriatrics, or post-acute rehab is preferred
  • Excellent communication and team collaboration skills
  • New grads with strong clinical rotations are welcome to apply
