Kaiva Tech, LLC is seeking a Web Software Developer in the Atlanta Metro Area .

Summary Overview

The Web Software Developer will be responsible for supporting the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Office of Public Health Data, Surveillance, and Technology (OPHDST). The Web Developer will act as a focal point working with a team of Web Developers to create compliant website content for publication across CDC platforms.

Please note that for this position a background check is required by the CDC for badging and onboarding with the client. If selected for hire, the CDC will provide you with appropriate notice.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

The ideal candidate is capable, motivated and willing to learn and grow as the position evolves. In this exciting opportunity as a Web Software Developer your responsibilities will include:

• Building and maintaining Data Modernization, OPHDST, AI, Public Health Data Strategy, National Neurological Conditions Surveillance System (NNCSS), surveillance, and csels/dmi-support
• Retiring content on surveillance and csels/dmi-support
• Administering ongoing Clean Slate requirements (including YouTube video cleanup)
• Archiving older, expired content to cdc.gov website as directed
• Building and maintaining Data Modernization, OPHDST, and AI websites
• Building and maintaining OPHDST content for CDC Organization Charts, CDC Connects Events Calendar intranet sites:
• Supporting build/send/pull and analyze metrics for Adobe Campaign
• Supporting ticket entry in the Adobe Campaign request system and coordinating with the Adobe Campaign team as needed to manage issues, campaigns, and improvements
• Supporting build, test and send Public Health Data News newsletter
• Pulling web, intranet, Adobe Campaign, and any other metrics as needed for reporting and planning
• Building and maintaining data modernization SharePoint site content as needed to support other vehicles
• Ensuring web/intranet/other metrics meet Section 508 accessibility requirements
• Supporting upload and management of CDC MediaStream videos and channels
• Supporting upload and management of CDC Stacks documents (excluding web pages, videos, and executables)

Required Experience And Skills

• 2-5 years' experience working with the following applications:
  • WCMS
  • DFE
  • Adobe Creative Cloud (primarily PhotoShop)
  • SharePoint
  • CDC MediaStream
  • SnagIt
  • Beyond Compare (for support in retiring older content)
    
    

Desired Experience And Skills

• Experience working in CDC work
• Experience setting and implementing content strategy
• Experience analyzing web content and implementing content changes
• CDC experience and general understanding of the CDC public health mission
• Experience using the gov web template.
• Experience working in a government contracting
  
  

Education

• Bachelor's Degree Required
  
  

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to remain stationary with a computer and operate standard office equipment and keyboards for prolonged periods of time.
