• Taking up some remedial tasks of vulnerability management Identifying and investigating IT Resources for exploitable vulnerabilities and engaging the owner of the resource to coordinate remediation efforts.
• Good communication, good understanding of vulnerabilities.
• Working MS Outlook Quarantine Queue and identify true positives and false positives.

Top 3 Skills:

• Experience in vulnerability management
• General IT Security experience
• Tenable, and MS 365 is what client uses, but as long as they have experience in vulnerability management, the tools can be learned
• Do they have to have the tools if they have a background in vulnerability management? No, as long as they have the experience in vulnerability management.
• Must have some experience, Understand IT vulnerabilities, patching, and good communication skills
• Must have patience will engage with teams that are busy. Needs someone who is not easily offended or gets upset at rebuttals

Education: BA preferred (Computer, Computer Science, IT, or Cyber Security), can they have an Associates? As long as they have the skills and knowledge, they can have a High School Diploma.

Certifications: Security+, CYSA+, would be a benefit to have.

Details

Help with our Vulnerability Management program. The role will consist mostly of investigating IT Resources for exploitable vulnerabilities and engaging the owner of the resource to coordinate remediation efforts. There will be other similar functions to perform, but the Vulnerability Management will be the major portion, at least initially.

We are looking for someone with good communication skills and fluent in English. The candidate will need to have IT background and an understanding of vulnerability management.

• Prioritizing: Determine which vulnerabilities are most critical and need to be addressed first
• Remediating: Work with IT and security teams to fix vulnerabilities
• Reporting: Prepare and present reports on vulnerabilities and trends
• Communicating: Share findings with the business and recommend security controls
• Researching: Stay up to date on vulnerabilities in software and hardware
• Improving: Develop and implement new security tools and methods
• BA preferred (Computer, Computer Science, IT, or Cyber Security)
