Position Overview

We are looking for an Area Sales Manager (ASM) to join our Dynamic Sales Solution Service team. In this role, you will provide strategic, outbound, and proactive sales support for a portfolio of six multi-branded hotels located across Canada and the USA. This is a home-based position, reporting to the Director of Sales.

Responsibilities

- Drive strategic, outbound, and proactive sales for a portfolio of six multi-branded hotels, fostering a sales-focused culture by sharing best practices and coaching General Managers and Front Desk staff.
- Achieve revenue milestones within a shortened sales cycle of six months, ensuring a strong return on investment for hotel partners.
- Activate new accounts in the local market and increase market share through intentional and strategic prospecting. Deliver bi-weekly sales strategy presentations via MS Teams to report on progress with designated hotels.
- Develop and nurture a sales pipeline using Salesforce CRM to manage accounts and shorten the sales cycle.
- Collaborate with your assigned team (POD) to support the Dynamic Sales Solution model and drive revenue across our portfolio of hotels.
- Create exceptional client experiences, manage client expectations, and maintain high levels of satisfaction by representing clients with professionalism and integrity.
- Travel occasionally for in-market visits to strengthen relationships with Hotel Owners, General Managers, and teams, helping to expand sales targets and increase revenue.

Requirements

Hotel Industry Sales Experience:

- Minimum of three consecutive years in hotel guestroom sales experience, specifically in business transient, crew, and government segments within a select service hotel.
- Two years of experience in a dual or area hotel sales role is preferred.
- Strong understanding of hotel systems, RFP processes, and brand tools.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills to effectively convert prospecting efforts into actual revenue.
- Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
- Ability to establish and maintain relationships with hotel clients and team members.
- General knowledge of hotel operations.

Technical Proficiency:

- Proven experience using a CRM system to manage your sales pipeline and track daily activities and follow-ups.
- Strong ability to utilize Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint) for managing your hotel portfolio, creating reports, delivering presentations, and updating progress.

- Strong organization, time management, and adaptability skills are essential.
