Title: Certified Medical Biller/Coder

Location: Primary Care Office

Job Type: Full-Time, In-House

About Us: We are a new and thriving primary care office dedicated to providing exceptional care to our patients. We are seeking a highly skilled and certified Medical Biller/Coder to join our dynamic team. Our ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical billing and coding, with a keen understanding of insurance billing practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately code and bill primary care services to various insurance companies.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and guidelines.
• Advise medical staff on appropriate billing practices and procedures.
• Review patient records and verify coding accuracy to optimize reimbursement.
• Handle billing inquiries and resolve issues promptly.
• Maintain and update patient billing information.
• Assist in the preparation and submission of insurance claims.
• Follow up on unpaid claims and manage accounts receivable.
• Conduct regular audits to ensure coding and billing accuracy.

Qualifications:

• Certified Medical Biller/Coder (CPC, CCS, or equivalent certification).
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical billing and coding (primary care preferred).
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS codes.
• In-depth understanding of insurance billing procedures and regulations.
• Proficient in using medical billing software and electronic health records (EHR) systems.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
