Nurse Manager – Cardiac Stepdown (Days) | $84,849–$127,274/year
Location: Plano, TX 75075
Schedule: Full-Time, Days
Salary Range: $84,849 – $127,274 annually (based on experience)

Position Overview
We are hiring an experienced Nurse Manager to lead our Cardiac Stepdown Unit. This role carries 24/7 accountability for patient care delivery, staff performance, unit operations, and compliance with quality standards. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead delivery of evidence-based, goal-directed patient care

  • Provide clinical and operational oversight of a 37-bed cardiac stepdown unit with 60 FTEs

  • Foster professional development and continuous learning among staff

  • Monitor quality metrics, infection prevention, and patient safety protocols

  • Manage operating budgets and cost-efficiency efforts

  • Drive team collaboration across disciplines for optimal patient outcomes

  • Engage in staff, patient, and physician satisfaction initiatives

  • Ensure adherence to regulatory and accreditation standards

Qualifications

  • Experience:

    • Minimum 2 years of recent acute care leadership in cardiac stepdown or critical care required

    • Magnet or Pathways facility experience preferred

  • Education:

    • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required

    • Master’s degree (MSN or related field) preferred

  • Licensure & Certifications:

    • Active Texas RN license or Compact State license

    • National Specialty Certification (or willing to obtain within 1 year)

    • BLS and ACLS required
